HEC Paris launches two open-enrolment programmes

HEC Paris, ranked number two worldwide for Executive Education by the Financial Times in 2015, has launched two new short programmes on its Tornado Tower campus in Doha.

The first 'Desmystifying Finance' will take place on May 18 and 19 and will be taught by Professor Patrick Legland while the second 'Managing Business in Challenging Times' will be run by Professor Roger Hallowell from May 24 to 26.

The two professors are renowned experts in the field of business management, finance and executive leadership and teach regularly on HEC Paris' programmes in Doha. Demystifying Finance is a short programme designed to cover the fundamental aspects of accounting and finance.

The teaching focuses on providing participants with an easy-to-learn and practical financial toolbox. Professor Patrick Legland's easy to understand approach to finance will help participants understand and analyse historical and projected figures for decision making purposes, gain insights into financial markets and raising funds, hedge against potential risks and understand company valuations and corporate transactions.

Professor Patrick Legland, a finance professional for over 25 years, specialises in Equity, Debt Capital Markets and Mergers and Acquisitions.

He is an affiliate professor in the finance department at HEC Paris and also teaches Financial Markets at Science Po Paris.

The Managing Business in Challenging Times programme is designed to enhance the skills needed for managers to anticipate the peaks and troughs that companies must navigate through with prudence and wisdom. It prepares participants to anticipate economic downturns as well as engage in best practices that serve them well in good and bad times. The interactive nature of the sessions encourages participation and enables attendees to maximise the beneu64257?ts of the programme.
