PEF wins T20 cricket friendly against QVL

Pakistan Engineers Forum (PEF) cricket team won the T20 cricket friendly match against Qatar Veteran league (QVL) by 20 runs.

QVL were all out in 17 overs and scored 87 runs in response to 107 runs by PEF in 20 overs in the first inning.

PEF won the toss and decided to bat first and in 20 overs scored 107. While chasing this score, QVL could manage just 87 runs. They were all out in 17 overs.

There were three individual prizes awarded to PEF, Man of the Match received by Mahmood Ali Khan, Best Batsman given to Mohammad Jawad and Best Bowler to Rauf Shahzad.

The chief guest, Islamic Republic of Pakistan Embassy Community Welfare Attach` Rashid Nizam, presented the winner trophy to PEF Captain Mahmood Ali Khan, and the runner-up trophy to QVL Captain Krishan Kumar.

The match, organised by Saleem Qazi, senior member of QVL and PEF cricket captain Khan, was played at Mesaieed QP Sports Complex cricket ground. QVL president MI Farid and, PEF president Tahir Jamil exchanged mementos at the awarding ceremony. The two teams also presented Nizam with a memento while Jamil presented Nizam, Farid and Saleem with certificates of appreciation for their support.

Pakistan Cricket Academy president Haroon Rasheed Qureshi was the game commentator while Furqan Ahmad Paracha and Naidu gave expert comments. M Naveed scored the game while PEF member Mohammad Azimuddin updated the scoreboard. Neeraj and Thissaeru were the umpires.

QVL and PEF thanked the QP Mesaieed Sport Complex management and ground in-charge Dilanka for allowing the use of the facility for the game.
