JCC stresses importance of Arabic content at Dubai meet

DOHA THE sixth annual Big Entertainment Show (BES) concluded on Tuesday with a special awards ceremony at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center. This year, JCC participated as lead sponsor of the event which attracted over 120 leading media businesses from 55 countries and was attended by over 4,000 visitors and participants.

BES concluded with an awards ceremony hosted by INDEX Holdings to honour its strategic and media partners, with JCC being the most prominent.

During the ceremony, Dr Abdul Salam al Madani, chairman of INDEX Holdings, presented Saad al Hudaifi, JCC's acting executive general manager and channels director, with an award recognising JCC's leadership and sponsorship of this successful and distinguished regional event, as well as its commitment to developing and promoting high quality Arabic content and offerings that support values and culture of Arab families across the region.

Hudaifi thanked the organisers of the show and said: œThis unique event is an ideal regional networking business platform that will additionally boost our visibility and impact in the children media industry. BES has opened doors for us to present our offerings, collaborate with regional retailers and licensees as well as strengthen our brand in the region.

JCC's aim is to provide a user experience that empowers its audience through establishing collaborations with the key players in the region through this unique regional networking platform.  JCC organised a business networking event which created a platform for businessmen, investors, and leaders of the media industry to interact and discuss latest updates and productions of the entertainment industry.

Through its participation at BES, JCC was able to showcase and market a number of distinctive in-house, co-produced and acquired properties and programmes which are competitive and carefully selected to educate, entertain and influence a generation to think creatively while helping them to appreciate their roots and cultural heritage.

This year, BES focused on the Middle East market and on boosting development of high quality Arabic content. It featured three events: the Dubai International Brand Licensing Fair, the Dubai World Game Expo and MYCONTENT.
